Note:: TASverter is unable to handle THERMICA-4 sysmdl and sysmsh files and you are advised to use THERMICA-4.9.1 or newer to convert these to/from STEP-TAS format. Please use the STEP-TAS interface provided with THERMICA-4.9.1 or newer to export sysmsh geometry files to STEP-TAS, and to import from STEP-TAS. Note that older versions with STEP-TAS interfaces handled a more limited set of features, and have known problems with cutting, node numbering and meshing. THERMICA-4.9.1 introduced an up-to-date STEP-TAS interface with validation that is able to save most thin shell Thermica primitives to STEP-TAS, and provides: * The most up-do-date STEP-TAS Import/Export facility, with validation * The recommended way of converting THERMICA-4 sysmsh files to/from STEP-TAS * Thermica3 SYSBAS and VIF files are now deprecated / unsupported in THERMICA-4 To export your geometry from THERMICA-4 you need to have loaded the sysmsh file into the Meshing tab: trying to export a sysmdl file from the Model tab will give an incomplete STEP-TAS file. Open the Meshing tab and select the **File/Save As** option and change the output file type to be STEP-TAS. Any warning or error messages appear in a reporting dialog, but you have to explicitly save them to a log file if you want to keep them. To import a STEP-TAS file into THERMICA-4, select **File/Open** and change the input file type to be STEP-TAS. Again, any warning or error messages appear in a reporting dialog, but you have to explicitly save them to a log file if you want to keep them. Be aware that double-sided inactive shells are 'blockers' in THERMICA-4 and may not be imported/exported as you might expect. Note that THERMICA-4 now offers solid volume shells, and some exotic shells for representing an antenna, a torus and oblique extruded polygons, but these are not supported by the current version of the STEP-TAS protocol.
